Charlie
A rising sun is warning
Be ready for this day
Charlie will come storming
Down the hall and want me to
Follow all his orders
Get his breakfast
Hold him tight
I"ll do it all to order
Jumping at the chance to make that
Kid smile.

Okay coming up with something fresh each day is going to be a challenge to this perfectionistic heart - a good one! Love your Charlie (and his poem :) Here's my attempt:

Awaiting my direction, two souls stand
Before me, bursting with possibility, and I am
Called to love them limitlessly, so I
Dare to try again today
Even though I know it just might hurt when I
Fail. But I’m willing to risk -
Grace catches me there and reminds me:
His Hands will steady my faltering steps.
I do not shepherd alone.

Albeit mundane at time,
Blessings are my job..
Caring for them,
Daily scrubbing them,
Embracing them, or
Flogging them, as needed.
Gentlemen I am creating, I
Hope.
