I did not have time to contemplate
Nor motivate myself to run
Or write or love more than I was
There was no time to negotiate
More into well packed days
Enough! My only self would say
Enough!, I have enough I'd say.
I was all wrong. I turned it all on end
And here I sit writing, ready to run
And ready to love more.
I bought the magic beans
I've seen the golden eggs
I will not wake the giant time
But rather take from him what's mine
